"I loved this book and looked forward to reading it each night! Characterisation was great and every person in the book were each brought vividly to life. The geography of the book was superb, I especially liked being taken to a load of different well constructed 1950s Black Country Pubs and having a pint of mild and a packet of pork scratchings. The pace of the book was thrilling, especially in the second half. I highly recommend giving this book a read, you won't regret it!"- Amazon review, check Amazon for more.

Once Upon A Time In The Black Country Part II.

Ghosts.

"The second book in the series certainly didn't disappoint. Going backwards and forwards in time, to fill the reader in with the back story of the characters was perfectly done. The whole form of these books is extremely well thought out and put down on paper to keep you glued to the books. Getting in to this second book took little more than a page or two to be straight back in to the dark world of the black country underworld. With extreme detail of the area and its inhabitants you're drawn in like a junkie needing a fix. You can almost smell the soot and thick smoke in this factory saturated deprived part of the UK. Wonderfully thought provoking in places, extremely addictive dark read. 5 stars from me. The Author is a genius in my opinion, and I don't use that word lightly. Hope to see many more additions to this highly enjoyable series."- Amazon review, check Amazon for more.

"Well I waited and he delivered. Book 3 of the immensely enjoyable and addictive Black country saga. The story weaves its way through time like a snake through long grass, keeping you wanting to go and read just one more chapter. New characters are wonderfully real and fit the story perfectly. This book takes you on a journey to Ireland and then back through the tough streets of the Black Country, were once again the old firm get back to what they're good at. Fantastic knowledge of the area and its history, as well as great knowledge of the new York Cosa Nostra. Brilliantly written in every department. Great Black Country dialect used in most of the book as well. Loved it, can't wait for number 4. To sum it up if yo ay read any on um, get um ordered, yo wow be disappointed ar kid.5 🌟 from me." -Amazon review, check Amazon for more.

"I've read all the books so far in this series. I'm not normally a gangster genre reader. But the graphic detail, and the way the book goes into great detail on the history, makes it a compelling read. Quite violent in places. But certainly difficult to put down. Looking forward to the 4th book. A seriously talented new writer. Very impressive and great value. I'd happily pay 3x the price."- Amazon review, check Amazon for more.

Once upon a time in the Black

Country 1934.

book 5 cover (2).jpg

"This is the 5th book I have purchased in the series taking us back to 1934. What impressed me is the history at start of chapters and being a local guy I've learnt from it. And if you are in to the Peaky Blinders you will recognize some of the names, it also showed us the affection Willie had for a certain lady, sad ending to that though!"-Amazon review, check amazon for more.

Once upon a time in the Black

Part VII, Bonded by Blood.

"This appears to be the last book in the series. I've read and enjoyed all 7 books. Excellently written, with great graphic detail. The writer shows great knowledge of the history and geography of the area. And all seven books combined, would make a great film. Looking forward to more books from this up and coming writer."-Amazon review, check amazon for more.
